#52.  Algonquin AlligatorAn alligator boat, such as the William M., was used to haul log booms across the lakes of Algonquin during the logging era. An alligator was an amphibious tug and was able to winch itself over land to new bodies of water. The William M. marked its hundredth year in the park in 2005. APM #559. 2005.
